Jackson Railroad Yard, Central City
Jay Dearborn Edwards appears to have made 118 photographs of New Orleans in the three years leading up to the Civil War - a remarkable body of work at a time when there were only three photographers in the city. This photograph, "Jackson Railroad Yard, Central City" is a salted paper photoprint mounted on board, made between 1857 and 1860.
