Uncle Sam's Plantation, Convent Louisiana
This is a photograph of a large, columned southern plantation house in Convent Louisiana known as Uncle Sam's Plantation, which was demolished in 1940 to make way for a new levee. This vintage gelatin silver print was taken in 1935.
