Cajun Mardi Gras
Fowl are generally donated alive for the courir de Mardi Gras, leaving it up to the revelers to chase and capture chickens and guinea hens. This pursuit provides the community with added merriment, as seen in this photograph of the "Capitaines" among the revelers.
