Hibernia Bank & Trust Company
Founded by Irish immigrants in 1870, Hibernia National Bank was a personal banking and commercial lending institution headquartered in New Orleans. Hibernia Bank was the largest and oldest bank headquartered in the state of Louisiana and its seal included a harp, which is the national symbol of Ireland. The name Hibernia is derived from Latin, meaning Ireland.
