Susie-Q Sheet Music
Louisiana-born singer and guitarist Dale Hawkins cut "Susie Q" at the KENT radio station in Shreveport. Checker Records, a subsidiary of Chess Records in Chicago, released "Susie Q" as a 45 rpm single in May 1957.
