John A. Dixon, Jr
John Dixon was the first chief justice in Louisiana to win election to all three levels of the judiciary: District Court, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court. He is quoted as saying that he wanted to be remembered as “hardworking, intellectually honest, a humanitarian.”
