South Rampart Street Parade (Excerpt)
Released in 1963, South Rampart Street Parade is Pete Fountain’s 23rd recording (including his first two as part of the Lawrence Welk band) for Coral Records (his main label from 1959 to 1971). On this title track, Mr. Fountain’s low register clarinet hits a sweet mellow groove on the chorus. The arrangement was written by Don Bagley.
