I'm A King Bee

“I’m a King Bee” was written and performed by James H. Moore, aka Slim Harpo.  It was released in 1957 as the B-side to his debut single, “I Got Love if You Want It”. The song went on to become better known than the A-side. It was covered by the likes of the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (when they were known as “The Tea Set”), as well as the Grateful Dead.
