Debbie Fleming Caffery
AnthropyArts — July 24, 2009 — This latest edition features Debbie Fleming Caffery, who has been documenting the Louisiana sugar cane harvest, the plight of prostitutes in Mexican brothels, and more recently the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The documentary travels with her through the mud of the sugar cane mills, to the devastated homes of New Orlean’s Ninth Ward, and to the South of France for the Les Rencontres Arles Photography Festival. In the Photo Commentary, she divulges the stories behind some of her most touching and poignant images.
