Biography of a House
Artist Jan Gilbert cites the importance of the multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of her work, as in "Biography of a House," a 300-foot ribbon of family photos wrapped around the Hurricane Katrina-wrought flood line of her girlhood home, with a sound installation by her drummer/composer nephew, William Gilbert, and tape recordings made by her father.
