Strawberry Woman, Boyfriend, Raspberry Man
A native of Algiers, Herbert Singleton became a celebrated folk artist for his brightly-colored wood carvings that reflected characters and scenes from his troubled neighborhood. These figures, made in 1992 and 1998, are titled "Strawberry Woman," "Boyfriend," and "Raspberry Man."
