Where the Sweet Magnolias Bloom
Taylor Griggs Louisiana Melody Makers were a rural ArkLaTex string band who played many sentimental parlor-type songs, such as this song, “Where the Sweet Magnolias Bloom.” In the 1930s, the band, along with other local acts, developed a style that prefigured Western swing style music.
