Basket with Handles
Janie Verret Luster is a master basket-weaver of the United Houma Nation, from Pointe aux Chenes in southeast Louisiana. In the early 1990s she resurrected the once-lost half-hitch knot method seen in this palmetto-leaf "Basket with Handles," ca. 1998-99.
