Bayou at Twilight
While Joseph Meeker was not from Louisiana nor did he live in the state, his work is known for bayou swamp scenes, recreated from sketches he made while traveling the Mississippi River for the Union Army. Meeker painted "Bayou at Twilight" in 1886.
