The state of Louisiana incarcerates more individuals per capita than any other state in the U.S. Photographer Deborah Luster created a series of portraits of prisoners, published in a book entitled "One Big Self." This silver gelatin print on aluminum photograph, "ECPPF 6," was made in 1999.
