French Market and Red Store
Louis Dominique Grandjean Develle was active in scenic design at the Théatre d’Orléans and in other New Orleans theatres for more than 40 years. This oil painting, "French Market and Red Store", was made between 1841 and 1844 and is an example of his dramatic style.
