Hotel Bentley, Alexandria, Louisiana
In the 1940s Alexandria became a hub for military bases, justifying Joseph Bentley's addition of an eight story extension to his namesake hotel. Such notable military leaders as Omar Bradley, George Patton, and Dwight Eisenhower stayed at the hotel.
