Louisiana Road Scene
"Louisiana Road Scene", is a genre painting by John Genin in 1870. It is considered genre because of the everyday rural scene of a group of African Americans working outside of a small cabin. The porch has clothing hanging over the railing and next to the cabin is a man riding in lumber and a women carrying a basket to the lake. In the distance are land and cattle.
