2011 Krewe of Proteus Parade

Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans are organized by Carnival clubs called "krewes." Riding the floats, krewe members toss "throws" to the crowds: strings of colorful plastic beads, doubloons and plastic cups with the krewe's insignia, and other trinkets.
