Sailing boats on Lake Pontchartrain, The Southern Yacht Club
British-born Captain William Challoner was a mariner, competition sailor and painter who was given the commission to paint the New Orleans Yacht Club above his competitor, August Norieri. Challoner painted "Sailing Boats on Lake Pontchartrain, the Southern Yacht Club" in 1880.
