Sister Helen Prejean
A head and shoulders portrait of Sister Helen Prejean who in 1984, after witnessing a state mandated execution at Angola, began campaigning against capitol punishment. The 1995 Hollywood feature film Dead Man Walking, is based on Prejean’s 1993 memoir of the same name.
