Spanish Judicial Records Involving Juan San Malo, 1783
An exerpt from Spanish Judiciary official criminal proceedings against two self-emancipated, formerly enslaved people who attempted to free another group of enslaved people in the custody of Spanish officials. The proceedings mention that maroon leader Juan San Malo was involved in the attempt.
