Bill Matthews
This photograph shows New Orleans musician Bill Matthews playing a trombone inscribed with "Great archaic New Orleans trombonist, played with all the early great bands (including A.J. Piron, Celestin, et. als.), and is a fixture on Bourbon St. (Paddock Lounge) for many years." According to history, the inscription was a true description of Matthews.
